 Race Report by Brandon Andrews- Want to have a ton of fun and get dirty at the same time. Then you need to race at David's place in Rome. This year three of us went out to the Rome Winter CX event sponsored by Cycle Therapy. Since I was in the Georgia for the holidays I was able to reunite with AMR racers Rick Nudd, on his trusty mountain bike, Darrell Lee riding cross and myself on a borrowed bike. Special thanks to Derek Boyd another AMR member who loaned me an awesome bike for the race. Due to the SRAM recall my bike had been placed on the injured list. The event was run a bit different than some of the other races this past year. There were three races each lasted only about 30 minutes, with a 30minute recovery time. Everyone raced at the same time, jrs, women, Men, masters, it did not matter. Everyone on the course jockeying for position. Points from the races were tallied and gave the winners. It was a muddy race with minor changes each race. Rick Nudd Won his division along with Darrell Lee getting second in his. I did not place, but did have fun. Rome CX has always been a race I have looked forward to, it was great that the timing lined up so I could race while in town. I really wish Laura was able to be there and more racers there.
