 June 29th 2014 Angry Monkeys Racing member Arild Haugene raced at Eau Claire representing the AMR Team in amazing fashion once again. Arild came in 1st in his age group the 55-59 Sport Men Cat 2 Race. Overall the 125 racers in Sport Cat 2 he was 31st. He has been a great representation of AMR and classy racer. We are very proud of the racing he has done for the team while he has been here. Arild wrote "The trail was in very good condition after a rain the day before and drying up during the morning. The course consisted of a lot of single track, but in addition a sequence with pump track and several challenging drops and steep downhills. Also, we had 3 or 4 creeks to pass with splashing water and slippery stones. This fast a fun race, even if I had to run the most difficult stone garden/creek - combination. Since we lapped a slow line a mile before the finish, I lost my gap and had to prepare for the finish sprint which I won with 0.6 seconds." Again Congrats to Arild and his fantastic finish.
