![]() Le Mons start, 5,4,3,2,1... Have to jump over that 3 foot high snow bank, run to your bikes and go! First half of lap consisted of single track snaking through trees and prairie grasses, along side deep ravine's and drainage swales. Pop out onto open terrain, golf course, headed back towards club house. Following the trail of marked pink flags up and down two hills, through small grove of trees, jump off bike run up small hill, jump back on and finish ride around club house back to start/finish line. Did that three times in 60 min, only to be passed by 5-6 seasoned riders which completed 4 laps (kudos to them). It was cold to start, but once thermostat regulated it wasn't bad. All in all great course and layout. Will definitely ride the Fat bike routes again for practice and fun. Thanks to all who made this possible!!! - Nick Niemann The Inukshuk Fat tire was held at the Pleasant View Golf Course, Middleton, WI on January 16th and will also run again on February 6. However our members do more than just play in the mud and dirt. We have a number of racers that compete in a variety of events like adventure races, road, crits, running events and even Triathlons. Dennis Law just was announced as the 2016 Athlete of the Year for Tri 4 Schools. You can read the entire article here. Dennis just joined the team last year with the hopes of competing in a few CX races and possibly a few mountain bike races. He is also preparing this year for his second Ironman Wisconsin on September 11th 2016. We are very excited for Dennis and ready to support him in his race. ![]() Ready for 2016? We are. 2015 finished as a fantastic year for Angry Monkeys Racing. We had great success in a number of events and races. Riders raced in Georgia, Florida, Colorado, Wisconsin, and a few other places. We raised money for some fantastic charities. We rode with great friends and made countless new ones. 2016 is here. We updated our website look and feel to invite members - both new and old - to the 2016 season. Membership info can be found on our "JOIN" page, or shoot us an email. We would love to hear how you can be one of the Angry Monkeys! Membership dues remain unchanged despite some increasing costs; local groups will continue to raise money outside of dues for local events, as needed. If you are ready to join, please do so before March 1, 2016. To make 2016 even better, get as many of your friends and family to join you. This is the 4th year of AMR and we are excited to see what 2016 will bring. |
