Derek Slates - Wisconsin
Once upon a time, Derek was a fast guy, who lived in a van traveling the country trying to make a living racing bikes. He took a few years off due to injury. Now he rides for the pure joy of it. Racing psychocross brought back the fun in racing bikes. When not at 'cross races, he's playing with his kids, or cheering on his fiance at her races.
What are you most proud of? When I asked Shannon to marry me, she did not say “No”.
What is a skill you would like to learn and why? Bunny hopping barriers on my CX bike.
What is on the perfect pizza? Buddha’s Belly from the Secret stash in Crested Butte, CO
