Sometimes I feel that 2018 was just monkey business. So many things happened, but yet we didn't document it. The year flew by way to fast for this monkey. Overall I personally road less this year than any year prior, I raced a bit less, commuted a bit less, had fun a bit less. What does that mean? It means that 2018 is over and 2019 is going to be better. RideAMR has always been about getting people out on their bikes. If it was a charity ride, race, social mtb ride or whatever we just wanted you to go out and ride. We had some amazing feats by members in NC who hit personal records of millage to PA member who just killed it at being cool on the single speed at races. Few podiums here and there, but that isn't why we ride. As the founding member of AMR I look back over the years of the members who have come and gone, and those accomplishments achieved. I am very proud of how this team has worked over the years. I am also very excited that we know we need to improve for 2019. As leaders of the team the board has discussed new ways to challenge our members. This year we will be doing a little bit more fun with some internal competitions. We will still be our relaxed selves allowing members to ride what they want and no pressure attitude. This time though we will have some more structure with these fun challenges. I am looking forward to having more fun on the bike this coming year. I am looking forward to hearing new stories and accomplishments. I am looking forward to being a Monkey for the 7th year now. Come join us! March 1st is the deadline. Happy Riding. #RideAMR -Brandon Andrews AMR Founder. |
